How many USB devices are you using? Are you using a USB hub?

:
: The USB alert sound that WinXP makes when you connect or disconnect a usb device keeps going off at least once every 15 minutes. It happens so quick I cant figure out whats causing it. My mouse will freeze for about 3 seconds then everythings fine again. I unplugged all usb devices except for my mouse and it still does it. I made a few system changes this past weekend. Installed a 80gig harddrive, flashed my bios, and ran windows update and downloaded the latest critical updates. Any ideas?
