Ummm...K, under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" in the "System" directory, there's something called "USB Root Hub". I clicked on that and looked around and it says that there's 1 port available and that the hub is self-powered. I don't know how to switch the camera over to the port though...hrmm...
The brand of the USB is Intel...I'm not exactly sure what you mean by the IRQ stuff, but when I double click the computer icon, I see numbers scrolling down that go from 0 to 15...some of them appear more than once. There's an Intel PCI to USB Host Controller that is sharing the number eleven with three other devices, one of which is an "IRQ Holder for PCI Steering". Also, there are two mentions of an "Intel PCI Bus Master IDE Controller" on numbers 14 and 15, and both of them are sharing the number with the Primary and Secondary IDE controller, respectively.

: The camera is pissing off the host controller and being shut down. ;-) Is the cam on a hub or a PC port? Use a PC port...cameras don't work well on hubs.

: What brand/model of USB host controller appears in Device Manager? Double-click "Computer" there too and tell us if that controller is sharing an IRQ.

: : K, I just got a Logitech QuickCam 3000 Pro that won't stay on more than five minutes before it just randomly shuts itself off. I sent an e-mail to Logitech customer support and they were about as helpful as a spike in the head. I gathered that they think that the problem has something to do with the USB port, and I tried looking through the forum archives to figure it out for myself, but I don't know what a BIOS is or what it does or how to configure it...I'm pretty computer illiterate. Could someone please help?
