Why do you want a USB keyboard anyway? It won't work in DOS no matter what you say or do.
You said USB doesn't work, but you then said it does. Is this just a BIOS problem?
Try updating your BIOS.

: USB will not work.
: Root HUB error message in devices "USB Root HUB has been disabled"
: Gone through USBMAN ideas
: 1) Checked USB with Intel program - all OK
: 2) Identified USB controller
: 3) Looked in BIOS setting changed USB legacy from Disabled to Enabled.
: NOW KEYBOARD WILL NOT WORK IN BIOS SETTINGS. Keyboard all OK if working in windows. How do you reset BIOS settings back to Disabled if keyboard will not work??
