: Abit has very thorough instructions on how to update the BIOS. Just make sure that you update it when there is little chance of power interruption (thunderstorms).
: If you are using a USB hub, move the device in question to the PC ports.
: KT7 tips here:

: Apply the VIA 4-in-1 drivers and USB Filter Patch:

: The Abit site has become really stupid recently. I predict that a Webmaster will be out of work soon.

: : Hello i have the kt7a raid mobo the usb controllers worked fine for atleast a year or so...The problem started couple months ago my pc whouldn't detect the precision pro joystick on a consistant basis it worked fine for months before. So I started using another controller the gravis aftershock which worked fine until about a week ago. Now it loses power at random times of computer use sometimes seconds after pc is booted up sometimes it works for several minutes. If i unplug it replug it will be powered for various amounts of time. One thing i noticed that it kept power for an entire night and day when i wasn't manually doing anything on the pc. I think the motherboard bios is the orginal. If someone could help me i whould appreciate it. If this might be solved by a new bios I have never done that before and am kind of a computer newbie so i whould need some direction. Thanks for your time
