: Hey bill,
: Sorry, but this is no upgrade XP, this is a new and clean installtion, this is my second install of XP that the camera wont work.
: The camera didnt wored on Win 2000 either.
: She worked on in Win98SE.
: : Unplug all USB devices and boot from the WinXP CD. Select Install and then Repair.
: : I assume that this is an upgrade to XP. If so, I recommend installing XP on a formatted hard drive. Otherwise, WinXP inherits bad blood from the old setup.
: : Bill
: : : Yes i have bill, I got the latest 4in1. i also tried the USB filter.
: : : why the mouse stop working when the picture freeze ?
: : : the mouse is also USB ...

: : : : Windows XP is so good with all USB controllers that I normally assume that it's not a hardware problem. Have you applied the VIA 4-in-1 drivers?

: : : : : Are you sure its drivers ? Its seem to me more like and USB conflict ...
: : : : : : Have you tried the latest drivers from Logitech?:
: : : : : : http://www.logitech.com/cf/support/quickcamfiles.cfm
: : : : : : If you are using those already, try changing the driver to the MS-supplied one in XP.

I have exactly the same problem you have had.
After 5 to 10 minutes it freezes and so I've seen the message you wrote and the computer doesn't shut down.
I have Windows XP HomeEdition in a Compaq PC.
Even if you permit WindowsXP recocgnize the webcam the problem occurs. The difference here is a messagen: indeed LVCom, I've seen Conf.exe not responding.
I don't know what should I do.
