Hi, sorry for the delayed response- when I first heard that the MS drivers were available, I went to the web site, and it didn't detect anything for me... so then I uninstalled the existing cardbus USB drivers I had and rebooted. Windows auto-detected the Open host controller (usb 1.1) part of my card, and then prompted me for a driver location for the Enhanced (usb 2.0) drivers (I think that's what I did- can't remmeber too clearly). Then, I went to the regular windows update site, and sure enough, it found drivers for me (version 5.1.2600.0). These same drivers also show up the Corporate Update site, but only if you enter Microsoft as the hardware manufacturer...

I'm not sure I got the details of the process exactly right here, since I just reinstalled win2k yesterday (in the process of trying and failing to fix my f#$%ing SoundBlaster Extigy) and haven't yet had time to tackle the USB 2.0 controller yet.

But I think the key is to totally clean out any existing USB 2.0 drivers you had on your system. I think I deleted the *.inf file that contained the installation information for my old NEC drivers (oem13.inf???? or something like that) to prevent windows from auto-detecting the hardware. I think you actually have to go to the windows update web site, rather than having the hardware installation wizard check windows update for you...

Hope this long-winded response is of some help!

: Martin,
: How did you access them? I have followed the USBdman's directions implicity, and MS tells me no drivers available.
: Can you post how you did it? I would sincerely appreciate it.
