Actually, you can use Ghost Explorer and Direct CD in Windows to span disks.

: : This sounds like the inherent problem of ALL OSes. Copying the system partition is problematic because the OS itself runs from it and needs to have the system files open to run.

: I think I didn't explain properly,the initial image of C: was put on D: using Norton Ghost which only works in DOS so the OS wasn't running.
