You don't mention if the hub is powered or not. Take a look at this:

: I posted hear several months ago about a problem I was having with a 4 port hub I bought. You should know that the machine did not have a usb port so I installed an ADS 2-port usb pci card. However, I needed more ports so I bought a Microlabs 4 port hub. Ran the supplied cable from one of the ADS ports to the Microlab uplink. Problem is, the 4 ports on the Microlab never seem to initialize correctly. Each port has an led and when starting the computer and Win98SE, usually 2 or sometimes 3 of the leds light. I thought the problem was the hub so I swapped for another Microlab hub--same problem.
: So what I have to do to get all 4 leds to light is unplug the uplink cable and plug it back in (sometimes it takes 4 or 5 unplugs-plugs to get all the lights lit). I'm not sure what the problem is but was wondering if there was some nifty reset switch or button that I can put between the uplink cable and the hub. Then I can just hit the button instead of having to pull the cable and plug it in again (several times).
: Thanks in advance for any ideas.
