Tks Bill. But mine's a WinXP not Win98SE - is it the same? The solution posted seems to be applicable to Win98SE. I found only wmilib.sys in the C:\Windows\System32\Driver directory, but I can't find the wmidrv.sys file, neither could I find the file in the WindowsXP \i386 directory. Anyway, thks a lot. Bye.

: : Hi,
: : I've been having problems lately syncing my Casio E200 PPC with my PC since I replaced the motherboard from a generic Compaq Deskpro 350 (440BX chipset) to a ECS P6VXA (VIAŽ VT82C694X (NB) & VT82C686A/B (SB)), both running WindowsXP.
: : On the 440BX mobo, I had no problem syncing the Casio E200 attached to its PC-Card adaptor JK-864PU. As the Compaq was a P-II, I replaced it with a Celeron 900MHz based ECS mobo. Since then I began to experience problem: I can sync the E200 directly with the PC without the adaptor - ActiveSync 3.5 worked brilliantly. When I put on the PC-card adaptor, ActiveSync can't "see" the E200 anymore (intermittently gave a "Unknown USB Device" or sometimes it may recognise "Casio USB Sync 2002" then nothing happened). I repeated the configurations on a couple of machines, I get varying results:
: : A. Compaq Armada 1750 (running WinXP) - can sync with E200 directly, but cannot sync when JK-864PU used.
: : B. Compaq Armada 1700 (running Win2k) - can sync with E200 directly, but cannot sync when JK-864PU used.
: : C. Compaq Deskpro Pentium II 350MHz (running WinXP) - can sync with E200 directly AND also no problem sync with JK-864PU.
: : D. Dell Dimension 4500 Pentium 4 1.6GHz running Win2k - can sync with E200 directly AND also no problem sync with JK-864PU.
: : E. Creative PC Pentium III - can sync with E200 directly AND also no problem sync with JK-864PU running Win98 and Win2k.
: : I tried the latest VIA 4-in-1, USB Filter, PCI latency patch, removing USB drivers in SAFE mode, BIOS setting, etc. that were recommended in this website - nothing seems to work.
