The Gameshark corporation sells a Playstation 2 device known as a SharkPort 2 for transferring saved games between a PS2 memory card and a PC. The actual Sharkport device itself is just a cable with USB A connectors at both ends (one for the PS2's USB port, one for the PC) with a small box in the middle; it looks a lot like the USB bridges I've seen in catalogs. I'm wondering if the Sharkport really is just a normal USB bridge, in which case I could use it to connect two PCs via their USB port for filesharing and whatnot. I strongly suspect I could, but I wanted to check first to be safe. I'm interested in this because the SharkPort device is cheaper than most of the retail USB bridges I've seen in catalogs (which go for $25-$45 or so). Thanks very much.
