after 5 weeks of trying and using BT support I just can't get this modem working.
the ADSL light is flashing constantly, the line has been checked (3 times) and my mothers old cyrix 300 mhz works fine with this modem.
the PC I have has a socket A motherboard(manufacturer elitegroup co ltd) with SiS 730s chipset AMD 1700xp processor,
I have installed a belkin USB2 pci card to try to see if more bandwidth help but I still get this flashing green ADSL light, also I have installed the latest alcatel drivers.
The srange thing is I was connected to the net last night through my 56k modem and the alcatel modem started working, but this morning when I started up my PC back to green flashing ADSL again.
