Is this a fresh installation of XP or did you upgrade a previous OS?

Step one would be to disable one or both Com ports in BIOS setup and enable Reset Configuration Data or ESCD in BIOS setup.

: Would using the same irq number stop the usb from working. if so how do I change this as the change settings options are greyed out in XP?
