Use Device Manager to update the drivers. The drivers are on the Windows CD in the Win9x folder. They are also in C:\Windows\System.

: I did this except I didn't disable the Com ports - I couldn't figure out where that option was located.

: It still doesn't work. The only change is that there is now a question mark next to the USB Universal Host Controller. When I try to update the driver for it, I get error messages about not being able to find certain files.

: : Boot into BIOS setup and disable both Com ports if you're not using them. Go to the PCI section of BIOS and enable Reset Configuration Data (maybe ESCD or NVRAM. Now boot directly into Safe Mode (press F8 repeatedly while booting) and go to Device Manager. There, remove the modem and then the USB root hub and host controller *in that order*. Restart normally and try the device.
