You're mistaken. You can't use any USB 1.1 cable with USB 2.0. *Some* USB 1.1 cables will work fine because they were built to a higher standard. Belkin comes to mind here.
The differences are actual wire gauge, shielding and strain relief on the cable ends.

: I am having difficulty finding a true answer to my issue. In stores, many people claim to have "USB 2.0 cables". I know that any 1.1 cable works with 2.0, however, are manufacturers releaseing cables that are different than 1.1 cables? If so, what are the differences? Thanks in advance for your help!
