It depends on the printer. HP printers can be shared. Lexmarks can too. The proof is in the pudding. Sometimes, you have to install the printer software on the remote clients, but that's rare. It usually works fine.

I wouldn't return it until I tried it out.

: I would just like to know if you can print from a usb printer on a network like you can with a parallel port printer. It seems dumb if you can't. A client of mine has 3 pc's on a network and only 1 with usb ports. He went out and bought a usb only printer and want to know if I should advise him to take it back.
