I hope some of you can help me.
When I got home from work tonight, I had lost all of my USB ports. Everything under device manager looks fine, no probs there, I show 3 USB Root Hubs, and 3 VIA Rev 4 or later USB Universal Host Controller. All show enabled, and no conflicts. I checked in BIOS and USB enabled there as always. My motherboard is Kr7a-Raid Motherboard. I had a USB Alcatel modem, a visioneer scanner, a printer, a joystick, a mouse, and a 4 port USB hub. Nothing works. And I am REALLY missing my DSL connection through my USB modem. My first thought was some sort of surge or lightening...but absolutely everything else appears to be working perfectly (except my scanner....my scanner will now not turn on. and of course, nothing plugged into my usb ports are receiving any power, so I might have lost the other stuff too, but printer appears ok, just no communication via USB port.)
So, does this sound like hardware or software?? I am about to pull my hair out. Never had ANY probs with USB before, am fairly computer knowledgable, but at wits end. Been operating this system very stable for awhile now on Windows XP, and now this.
Any help appreciated!!!!!!!
