Have you installed service pack 2?

: Hi all,
: I just bought Addonics Pocket Digidrive. It's a flash memory cards reader/writer and it's USB. It reads from & writes to 7 types of flash memory cards. After you have installed it 4 new drives should show up.
: When I first installed it in my Win2000Pro system I thought it didn't work coz' I didn't see any of the new drives. I was about to send it back when after much tinkering I found out that I need to perform, in Device Manager, a "Scan for Hardware Changes". After that I can see and use all the new drives.
: (It was strange coz' I have never had to do this for any USB devices before. Plus, the device was PnP and it was detected during setup.)
: The problem is that each time after I have shutdown/rebooted the computer, I will NOT see any of the new drives (for the different types of flash memories) any more and I have to do a "Scan for Hardware Changes" again for the drives to show up.
: I have to do this each and every time after I shutdown/restart!
: However, if I leave a flash card (any type, doesn't matter) in the device, that particular drive will stay after shutdown/reboot. But that's for that one drive only. All of the other drives will not show.
: Other than this trouble, the device works just fine.
: What's going on? I tried the same device in my WinME system and it's NOT like this. In the WinME system once the driver has been installed and the device plugged in, I would see all the new drives and they would stay after shutdowns/reboots.
: So is it a Win2000 Pro thing? Or does my Win2000 Pro system has a problem?
: Anyone has any idea on this?
