Subject:   Canon Powershot A40 and Apollo VPX/97 Mainboard

Message Posted

I have the following mainboard chipset:
VIA VX-Pro+ (APOLLO VPX/97)
When I connect my Canon a40 to the USB port and install the software it seems nothing to happen.
I run Windows Me and the camera drivers installed correctly.
Could anyone help me find out what is the problem? Is it possible that the mainboard has a 1.0 USB version or it is not compatible with this camera?
I have ever used USB before ... because I didn't have the USB ports installed on the case. I have bought the ports with the camera to be able to connect. On the mainboard there were 5x2 pin USB connectors and that type of ports I bought.
