Hi Sharon,

Try moving the USB card to another PCI slot. Swap with another card if you must. It generally works best in the 1st or 2nd PCI slot.

Another possibility is that you're running Win98SE and using an older Win98 CD to update drivers. That's a no-no.

Lastly, you may have to disable some ports in BIOS setup in order to free up some IRQs. Open System Information (MSINFO32.EXE) and navigate to Hardware Resources > IRQs. Click anywhere in the right pane and then press CTRL-A and then CTRL-C. You have copied that data to the clipboard. Paste that data in a reply here.
