I have one other USB device, a Kensington USB video cam.
But they are directly connected, no hub.
The printer is now hooked up through a parallel.
So the camera is all by itself, and I rarely ever use it, in fact I could disconnect it.

: How many other USB devices are you using and how are they all connected? Are you using a hub?

: Bill

: : On both this website and the Viaarena website I see a reference to disabling error detection for the USB host controller in Win98.
: : I cannot find any tab called 'Advanced' under the properties of my Via VT83C572/VT82C586 PCI to USB UniversaL Host Controller. Does this mean that the drivers are not installed correctly?
: : I have an FIC AZ-11 board with Windows98 first edition and cannot get my HP Photosmart 1315 printer to work with USB. I also have 4in1 4.38 driver installed, I was told to possibly go back to version 4.35.
: : I had an Epson printer connected to my USB without any trouble.
