ok ,,if there is no such adapter than is there a way to use my printer ( usb only ) on my computor ( no usb ) ?

: There are no such adapters.

: USBMan

:
: : Where can you get the Parallel to USB adapter? I have a USB only Printer and a parallel port on the computer, (no USB ports), need a converter cable USB square end for the printer and 28pin male parallel for the computer?

: :
: : : Yes, I'm sure.
: : : There are many Parallel to USB adapters available. They ONLY work with printers.

: : :
: : : : Not to be repetitious -- but are you sure there's no adapter that can connect between parallel and USB ports? I would think there would have to be a cable that allows for that.

: : : : : There is NO device that will convert a parallel scanner to USB.

: : : : : : I have a Compaq Presario 5000 with Windows XP, but I'm not sure what host controller type I have. My problem is that I was given a PrimaScan 2400 Scanner as a gift, but this scanner does not have UBS cables. My computer does have UBS outlets, but because I've had to set it up according to the old "parallel port" method, the scanner will not operate.

: : : : : : Is there any way I could find an interface that could connect with the old cables, but fit into the UBS ports?
