Yeah, Ive never heard of the card either. It came with the burner. There is a DC port on the adapter. It says it can be used whenever there is hardware connected that requires alot of power, i.e scanners. But, the burner is using its own power supply. I think I'll just get a new USB 2 adapter and try that. What would you recommend?
Thanks,
Dale
: It should work from what I see there. The PUC-102 is a wild card. I've never heard of it. Are you powering it? It needs an AC adapter.

: : Ok. Heres my IRQ info you wanted. Is it possible I have a conflicting IRQ, but its not showing up in the system? I also tried using a USB 1.0 HP CDRW in the USB 2.0 port and the same problem occurs.

: : : Open System Information (MSINFO32.EXE) and navigate to Hardware Resources > IRQs. Click anywhere in the right pane and then press CTRL-A and then CTRL-C. You have copied that data to the clipboard. Paste that data in a reply here.

: : : : Ive recently installed my new USB 2.0 Predator CDRW drive in my Compaq Presrio laptop, which is running XP Pro. XP reconizes the burner and the burner can read CDs, but I am unable to burn any type of CD. Ive tried using different brands of CDs and tried burning a slower speeds. So, I connected the CDRW to a normal USB 1.0, and it will burn CDs without any problems. Also, Im using a PUC-102 host adapter. Im thinking the adapter may be faulty, since it allows reading but not writting. Any one have some suggestions?
