Did you try "Uninstall" in Device Manager? Do that first. Next, go directly to the INF folder in C:\Windows. It may be hidden. If it is, click on Tools > Folder Options > View > Show hidden files and folders. Press F3 to search. Specify files and folders. Now find SONY*.INF, CYB*.INF and CS*.INF and delete them.

I guess System Restore doesn't go far back enuff?

: Hi, I accidentally installed the wrong drivers to my Sony camera and after removing it from the device manager, it recognizes the camera "New Hardware Found" as well as the memory stick, and then crashes the computer completely. Windows XP and Via Rev 5 Host controller.

: I tried going back to a previous "System Restore" but it keeps seeing there's nothing to change. I've been told by Sony that I need to remove it from my registry (the wrong driver info) and then when I reboot and turn on the device it will recognize it.

: Where in my registry can I knock out the wrong USB stuff to get it working?

: Thanks.
