Thanks but I've already tried that and it didn't work.By the way, yesterday I tried plugging a USB scanner in my laptop and it worked...the system detected it as the right device as well as other USB devices that I have...The only USB device the system doesn't detect is my USB Mass Storage Device, which gets detected in other computers...I read somewhere about the transfer modes of USB -- isochronous, interrupt, control and bulk -- where does the USB Storage Device belong?I think there's something wrong with my Device Enumeration (which I also read somewhere here)I was able to back up my files in my ext hard disk by networking (LAN) my computer to another computer where my USB ext hard disk device works.I really hope you could help me figure out what's wrong here...Unfortunately, the safemode technique didn't work in my computer...Also, my IRQ 11 (PCI Bus) has 5 devices - sound driver, my modem, my USB devices...the system doesn't report any conflict in these devices but do you think it has something to do with it?
