Yours is the second recently with this problem.Both laptops. I'm thinking that laptops just can't do it. I'm stumped. Sorry.

The problem is that the external drive would work with my normal USB 1.1 ports that came with the laptop. The USB 2.0 card works with my USB mouse at least with the drivers included. But if I try to get full speed by connecting the external HD to my USB 2.0 card it wont work. I tried 4 different drivers for the puc 102 from adstech.com and orange... but it didnt help. I also installed the storage drivers but it seems that it always uses the ones included in win xp.
