Good work then, Betty - and a good choice. I build PCs too and I have always had better luck with Intel products. I find that the higher initial cost is offset by less time troubleshooting afterward. Time is money.

VIA hardware has some serious issues with USB modems. Intel has some issues with them as well - just not as bad.

The modem is the key to your troubles.
