: No. USB 2.0 cables are labeled as such. Some older 1.1 cables will work as USB 2.0, but only the best qualify.

: Not that I'm aware of. We use single files sized 10MB, 50MB, 100MB and 150MB and time the transfer with the system clock. Hey - it works!
