Your English is not that great, Oscar. I cannot be sure what you're trying to tell me.
If it make you feel better, no one I know has ever booted from USB - period. Linux and WinNT are not very different in the way they start.
Besides - we covered this:
"There's a catch. Unless you're booting a 32-bit OS **with native USB support**, you can't get anywhere."
LILO doesn't have native USB support, does it?
Bill
: ehm,
: I already said the bootmanager LILO isn't shown,
: bootmanager are independent on controller access while loading the bootmanager code. There are some usb-keys on the market that can boot DOS too.
: I mailed the support of Datafab and their MD2-USB isn't bootable. Also they said their is no driver for linux, but I use it with "usb-storage.o".
: (It's an firmware issue, if you have problems, try google with "datafab linux")

: : Hmmm...I missed the Debian mention. Does the distribution you're using support booting from USB?
