: I don't have the answer but, I have the same problem. I have the sis7001 PCI to USB Open Host Controller. I recently purchased a digital camera with USB cable and I keep getting the same error message: "Error USB cable not connected." I called D-Link toll free and they recommended that I update the sis7001. He gave me usbman.com and sis.com addresses but, I don't know enough to do the update in fear of wiping out something or making a fatal error. When you do find a well-lit path out of this, could I be notified? I would very much appreciate your help. Thank-you kindly.
PS: I tried the Patch 240075up.exe and the response was: "This is not for your computer."
