: OK...just looked at my USB drivers and the USB.INF file from Win98SE.
: The drivers loaded for the named chipset and the Generic/Universal one are EXACTLY THE SAME. Just to prove that to myself, I loaded them to another similar machine, and got those exact results. All drivers are Microsoft, 4.10.2222, 4-23-1999.
