I have a new Dell desktop, Windows XP SP1, only USB 2.0 ports (verified this through device manager.)Installed an Adaptec USB2Connect 5100 PCI card to add 5 more USB 2.0 ports (installs fine using Microsoft USB 2.0 drivers.) When connecting the HP PSC 2210(printer/scanner with built-in card readers) to either the built-in or Adaptec ports, the Adaptec USB control program complains that I have "a USB 2.0 device connected to a USB 1.1 port" although there are no 1.1 ports on this PC. HP support tells me that the 2210 is a 2.0 device. Adaptec support tells me it's a problem with the HP device. I just want the 2210 to function at the speed of a 2.0 device. Any ideas what's going on? Could USBView help figure out what's really happening?
