Try rebooting into Safe Mode before the switch and cleaning out the entries for the devices in question. Reboot once more too.

: Here's the situation. In Device Manager, I have 2 of this controller. One is numbered 2442 & the other 2444. I will identify them by this number for reference. 2442 is an on-board USB, has 2 ports and both of them are at the back (please refer to the diagram above). One is connected to the USB keyboard & the other to the printer, scanner, modem & Zip drive through a USB hub. All this works fine. 2444 is a USB PCI card, also has two ports & they are located at the front (please refer to the diagram above).
: I have tried connecting the abovementioned USB peripherals to 2444 but they don't work. I'm assumming that there is something wrong with the ports &/or the card altogether as the USB peripheral are found to be working and the controller is detected in Windows XP.
: Do note that 2444 also has two 1394 port at the back & one in front. I hope my explanation is clear & if more information is needed to help, please ask. Any/all help is greatly appreciated.
: Thank You
