Hello, Currently in my device manager the usb chipset is showing as "Standard Universal PCI to USB Host Controller" I know this can be a problem as it is similar to using generic drivers to for any other device. Problem is, I'm not sure of the manufacturer of the chipset, or how I can figure it out. It's a Gateway Solo 1450 Laptop. IRQ's: IRQ 0 System timer OK IRQ 1 Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard OK IRQ 4 Communications Port (COM3) OK IRQ 5 ESS Allegro PCI Audio (WDM) OK IRQ 6 Standard floppy disk controller OK IRQ 8 System CMOS/real time clock OK IRQ 9 Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System OK IRQ 10 Intel(R) 830M Graphics Controller-0 OK IRQ 10 Standard Universal PCI to USB Host Controller OK IRQ 10 Standard Universal PCI to USB Host Controller OK IRQ 10 O2Micro OZ6912 CardBus Controller OK IRQ 10 Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection OK IRQ 10 Intel(R) 82801CA/CAM SMBus Controller - 2483 OK IRQ 10 GTW V.92 Voicemodem OK IRQ 12 Alps Pointing-device OK IRQ 13 Numeric data processor OK IRQ 14 Primary IDE Channel OK IRQ 15 Secondary IDE Channel OKDriver file details: C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\usbhub.sys C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\usbport.sys C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\usbuhci.sys C:\WINNT\system32\usbui.dll Thanks for any help you can offer Tom
