On most older systems with Win95 preinstalled USB is disabled in the BIOS. Open the BIOS setup and make sure USB is Enabled i.e. USB Keyboard, Legacy USB and /or Assign IRQ for USB. Jeff Roberts
USBMan : I had win95, my neice put in win98 se. I have tryed to download pictures from every ditigal camera i can try. the computer keeps saying Is camera or usb connection working? Yes when i go to divice manager and look at usb stuff, it says working. then when i hook up camera and try to download it will not do it. so i go to divice manager and there is a yellow ! at the ( hardisk controllers) with the camers on it, so i click on it and look at the drivers and one of them says " Device Status, The NTKERN.VXD device loader for this device could not Load the device driver CODE 2. pLEASE HELP! I'm going nuts.I do not even have NT i have win 98se.?
