I want to try something with you. Open Device Manager and click View by connection. Trace down to the Alcatel. just above it on the tree (same branch) you should see a Root Hub. Double-click that Root Hub and explore it's properties. If there's a switch which allows Windows to shut down the Hub to preserve power, uncheck it. As a matter of fact, do this with *all* root hubs.

: i am using win xp, jetway v266b mobo. the modem lets me connect but then i am cut off after about 10 minutes, the adsl lite flashes yellow and the desktop icon also turns yellow but then both go green and steady and i am able to re-connect this is a problem when downloading and is very annoying please could some1 help me??
