You should be able to use any Win98 startup disk. Make one in Add/Remove Programs. When you boot from it, choose *with CD-ROM support* and then type the letter that is assigned to the CDROM when you arrive at the A: prompt:
E: (usually)
Now type DIR
There's probably a file called RESTORE. Type the name of it and go.
Alternatively, you can usually boot right off of the CDROM.

: I have a NEC Ready GT100 with a recovery CD but Daughter LOST the disk required for the A: drive. [when the CD starts it ask for the disk. Would anyone have a copy? The computer came from Circuit City w/win98. I have since found out that it really is a Packard Bell. would rather restore that just install 98. Thanking you very much for the help. Dick
