Problem: Other/Don't Know
Operating System: Windows ME
USB Host: Texas Instruments OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller

Problem Description: 1394 interface is not working properly.

I attach my Sony DCR-PC100 digital handyCam and power it up
and it will lock my system up (can't move the cursor) until I power the camcorder down or disconnect the cable.

I know the camera and interface cable are fine because I brought them over to a friends house and they worked perfectly on his Gateway computer. I just wish my Dell worked as well. This has been an issue since bought the laptop and I can't seem to get anyone that can correct it.

HELP!!!
